Why this matters
A gas stove is the one appliance in the kitchen where a fault is also a safety question. Yellow or uneven flames mean incomplete combustion, usually from blocked burner ports or a wrong air-to-gas mix, and incomplete combustion produces carbon monoxide in a room people stand in for hours a day.
